It’s Valentine’s Day soon, and if you’re in a relationship then it’s a time for you to show your valentine just how much they mean to you. If you’re a single pringle then fear not because there are plenty of options for you out there. Just because you don’t have a significant other doesn’t mean you can’t show the people in your life just how much they mean to you. That includes your four-legged friends.
10 Sentimental Valentine Gifts For Everyone!
Personalised Journal.
Try something really personal for your valentine, whoever they are! You can get journals for your bestie (pictured), your partner, teacher or your family. If you’re feeling really creative, you could even spin some of them to include your pet. They’ll not be able to read it but you can make sure to dictate it to them. Just in case there was any doubt about how much you loved your four-legged friend.
Each journal comes with blank spaces for you to describe, in great detail, why your Valentine is the bomb!
A cozy copy of your pet [Sort of].
Because who doesn’t want a pillowcase with the face of their beloved four-legged friend? Now you can get furry hugs whenever you want and no clumps of fur to clean up afterward.
This can be a gift to yourself (Happy Valentine to me), your mother, your partner or even for your pet! That’s right, why not get your pet a comfortable pillow with their face on it so they never forget how cute they are?
You can have any photo you want customised onto the pillowcase. The possibilities are endless!
Personalised keyring.
My best friend’s partner bought him a beautiful keyring one year for their anniversary. I remember thinking it was so cute. There were two in the shape of joining jigsaw pieces, each with their name and their anniversary date engraved onto them.
I’ve always wanted one for my partner and I but still haven’t quite gotten around to it. That is until this year when I found an abundance of possibilities for sentimental keychains.
I personally prefer the matching cats, but there are plenty out there for you and your valentine to choose from.
[Free-ish] 52 Reasons Why I Love You.
For our fifth anniversary, I made my partner a deck of ‘Why I love you’ cards using old playing cards. I created fifty-two reasons on a paint document, before printing them out and sticking them onto the back of the card. It was a slightly shabby, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
Why not try making your own using an old deck of cards? If you don’t have any, you can get them for dirt cheap at any local pound shop or by following the link. There are cheaper on offer but I just couldn’t get my head around how cool these looked! They would make an excellent backdrop for your handmade gift.
‘Pawsecco.’
I’ve both loved and been anxious about this idea ever since it came about in 2018. Apparently creating ‘luxury treats‘ such as these are common and well received by many pet owners. Why shouldn’t my cat feel like a princess with a little bowl of luxury every so often? She deserves it just as much as a human.
Available @ Amazon.
Haven’t got a human valentine? No problem! Remember that our four-legged friends love us unconditionally, which is far better than any human can do. Now you can make sure they know how much they’re loved by getting them a luxury bottle of Moet – I mean Pawsecco!
Jar of Smiles [Or make it yourself].
With 2020 getting off to a less than ideal start we could all do with a little something to make us smile. Whether it’s for your friend, partner or family member, the jar of smiles is bound to light their life up, even for a moment.
You could buy a cute jar and create your own, or you could just buy one already filled with wonderful quotations! Either way, this idea is personal, sentimental and something so cute that your valentine will never forget it!
A month of moments: Quotes for a special friend.
This is one of my personal favourites on this list! I think it’s so cute and thoughtful, but in a completely effortless way. Sometimes sitting down and creating something from scratch can be daunting and time-consuming, which is something we don’t all have.
What am I meant to write? I can’t think of anything to say!
Well, this takes all the hard work out of that and levels the playing field with some straight-up, heartwarming quotes! Much like the Jar of Smiles, you can create this by yourself or you could just pay a small fee of £9.97 to have it all done for you.
[Free] A personal playlist.
How can I not suggest a simple playlist for this special occasion? Whether you’re serenading your cat, bestie or partner, you can’t go wrong with a personalised playlist.
Gone are the days of burning CDs and making cute covers! No need to add secret voice messages between songs because we have all the means in the world to pass on messages now. I always use Spotify to make my playlists because they can be easily shared and listened to across a wide variety of gadgets.
So spend an afternoon (or five minutes) creating the perfect playlist for your loved one, whether they have four legs or two.
A pickin’ mix box of date ideas.
Create your own mix of weird and wonderful date ideas. They can range from the frugal to the lush, and the best thing is that you can count the creation of the box as date number one! This isn’t so much a gift as it is a joint effort to create a box full of ideas for the rest of the year (and beyond).
My partner and I created a colour coded box on Christmas Eve with date ideas such as ‘Hiking and a picnic’ and ‘Spa day.’ Each week we lift a new one out of the box and, depending on the colour, we get started right away. Pink card means it’s expensive or needs to be booked, so it’s reserved for later in the month/year, while the blue cards are simple, free or cheaper and therefore can be used more often.
Some Sweet Treats.
Strictly for us bipeds (sorry furbabies) Bumble & Goose is a Northern Irish company based in the seaside town of Bangor. But don’t let that stop you! They bake for and deliver to various places around the UK.
They’re a fairly new business started by Lynsey Bleakley and with the intention of chasing the dream. Lynsey’s story is one of inspiration, hope, and courage, showing us that you don’t have to stick with unhappiness just because it’s convenient. It takes extreme strength to admit when we’re burnt out and take measures to change it, but that’s exactly what Lynsey did! She left behind her job as an NHS nurse and fulfilled her dreams of opening a bakery.
You can read more about Lynsey’s story here (and I highly recommend that you do).
I may not have much of a sweet tooth but that doesn’t mean my partner doesn’t. In fact, he loves nothing better than some ice-cream or a bit of cake (it’s a good thing he works with so much of it)! I can think of countless others who feel the same way about sweet treats, and there’s nothing better than a personalised box of cupcakes to show someone that you love them.
Have you any other ideas? I’d love to hear them in the comments below! No matter who you’re celebrating with I hope you all have a lovely, kind and peaceful Valentine’s Day.

Nyxie these idea are SO FUN. I don’t know that the hubby and I are giving anything for Valentine’s Day this year. I’m having oral surgery that day so I’ll just be wanting some Ibuprofin.
I hope he’ll be waiting on you hand and foot that day! What an awful day for oral surgery! I have therapy so I’ll probably be a mess!
Hope the surgery goes well and thank you so much for stopping in and reading.
I will be alone this Valentine’s day as my partner is away on business, so sharing a prosecco with my cat would be an idea, haha. Whoever thought about creating pawsecco was a genius.
I’ll most likely be alone for the most of it too which is why I wanted to highlight that not everyone has an SO or an SO who will be present on the day.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you and the cat have a lovely day 🙂
I do like the sweet treat idea the best. I have a sweet tooth so I do love cookie
I don’t but I do love something sweet every so often!
Thank you so much for stopping in and reading.
I love these ideas. I might have to get a cat pillow for our husband. He’d get a chuckle out of it, I’m sure.
I’ve got it ordered for my partner because I’m almost 100% that he’ll wet himself laughing!
Thank you so much for stopping in and reading.
I am always looking for good valentine ideas. Love the 52 reasons — so non-traditional and it will last much longer than candy!
Thank you so much for stopping in and reading! Really glad I could help with some out of the box ideas!

These all look great to me! You can’t go wrong with treats either. Those brownies look amazing!
Thank you so much for stopping in!
The cutest list of items to get for the your pets ever. My question is can dogs eat cake and other sweet treats?
I know you can get them special ones but I wouldn’t risk giving them the personalised cakes from Bumble & Goose. Just in case. Personally, I would never let my cat even lick chocolate or cream, let alone eat it (much to her disappointment).
Totally in love with the 52 reasons I love you idea. That’s perfect!
I actually did something like that years ago for Ryan and he still has it! I loved making them! 😀
Thank you for reading 🙂
Personalized cookies were my dad’s gift to my mom last year on Valentine’s Day! They were beautiful and very good indeed!

Those are neat gifts.. great for any occasion, too. I like the personalized pet pillow and the jewelry. It is so hard to shop for people and it is good to have some ideas.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I loved these ideas, not to toot my own horn, and thought it was a great way to involve other people and animals rather than just partners.
Those are some cute gifts. 🙂
Thank you so much Amanda! x
These are all wonderful ideas to consider. The more sentimental the better. I am pro ” thought ” than the price.
