The Sunshine Blogger Award

The Sunshine Blogger Award is exactly what it appears to be; A little piece of sunshine to a bloggers life! Nominating someone for this award brings a little smile to their face, and validates that everything they are doing is appreciated! Not only that but it’s a nice little boost to the confidence!

  • June 2nd: #worldeatingdisorderday. . > > “Eating Disorders: Can’t Afford To Wait” If you think you or someone you love might be in danger, speak up. Go to your doctor and talk to them about your options. . > > How can I speak to my doctor? . 1. Plan your appointment: - Write down bullet points of what you want to say, and any questions you might have. Depending on your GP you could find the appointment ends with a very brief referral, or they might have the time to spare to chat for a bit. It doesn't matter either way, as long as you get your point across. . 2. Take someone with you for support: - This didn't apply to me this time around because, honestly, I didn't have anyone. But if I were to do it again I would ensure I had my partner or my best friend with me. The first appointment was very emotional for me, and some of the words I wanted to say just wouldn't come out. That's where another person would have been so helpful. . 3. Give your GP as much information as you can about what you're experiencing: - That's where the bullet points come in! . 4. If a referral is not the result, you have the right to a second opinion: - Too often we are overlooked, fobbed off with anti-depressants and "healthy eating" leaflets. Fight for yourself because you DESERVE help! . . #eatingdisorderrecovery #worldeatingdisordersday #worldeatingdisordersactionday #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalillness #mentalillnessawareness #blogger #blog #advocate #anorexiafighter #anorexiawarrior
